This week I will be careing for 2 of my grand children while their parents are in New Orleans. My hubbie and I were there many years ago. Talent is just ooziing from the cracks in the sidewalks, from every door of every establishment, around every corner. If you enjoy music, especially jazz and blues, you gotta go there. Attached are pictures of the two I will be careing for this week. Danica is 15 and Mike will be 14 this month.
Aren't you the lucky grandma. Yes, New Orleans is an interesting place. Carol went there in 1989 (just before we moved here). She was working for the Red Cross and they had sent her there. I tagged along with her and did some shopping, sightseeing while she was in meetings and she had a lot of free time too, so we really had a good time. I've always wanted to go back - until the hurricane that is - Now I guess it's a good place to visit again. Have fun with the kids.
Have a nice week with your grandkids. Is it their spring break? Ours is this week. Unfortunately my daughter is sick today w/ the congestion crud. I'd like to visit New Orleans someday. Happy St. Patricks day.
My late hubbie were in New Orleans many years ago. Music was so prevalent that it seemed it was even coming out of the cracks in the sidewalk. I think one of my favorite places to have been was San Antonio on the River Walk. I went there after my husband died and it was a wonderful healing place. I plan on going back there someday.
It's all good, sorry you are ill. I hear it is nasty stuff people are getting these days. Get well soon...........Connie
They are beautiful kids! Pretty good for a # 2 daughter! (That's YOU Becky, I have named myself #1 and no one can argue... and if they did, I would just take my laptop and go home!) Tell them to tame it down a bit. I don't want them surpassing my kids! # 1 daughter must have #1 kids!
What a nice comment you made on my blog. My response is that we all have different talents. I couldn't lead a choir or sing a solo if my life depended on it. Have a great day!
I visited the blog you recommended. It's a good blog. Thanks for leading me to it. It always amazes me how many good blogs there are out there. One can lead to another and to another. There is no end.
Today is Thursday. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you are 3 days behind and not doing enough to keep me entertained! I'm not in N.O. like #2 daughter! Phooey!
Awwww, I'm jealous! Right now I'm just dying to travel! I want so much to see the whole wide world and New Orleans is definitely on that list... Hope you have fun with the kids!! I miss 'em!

I wake up each morning with many thing to accomplish. I have a favorite saying that I have coined: THE DAY IS NOT NEARLY LONG ENOUGH TO ACCOMPLISH ALL I WANT TO DO AND WAY TOO LONG FOR THE BODY.
